If you charted your life’s direction, you would find it rarely travels a straight line. There are lots of twists and turns, but what matters most is if you’re happy when you reach a destination. That seems to be the case for 51-year-old Coleman Craft, who on April 1 opened Colorado’s first SuperGreen Solutions, a franchised retail chain recognized as the premier advisor, supplier and installer of energy-efficient solutions for residential and commercial customers. Craft spent 25 years working sales in the wine business, 10 of those years being at a California winery before launching his own solar marketing firm in Minnesota. Along the way he suffered a personal tragedy that required him to stay home and raise his children.
But today, Craft and his family are living in a destination they had long desired and he finally has the ability to run a business “the way I thought a business should be operated.” Craft first learned of the potential of renewable energy while with the winery, which eventually became energy self-sufficient. He’s hoping others will take notice of the benefits of green energy products that SuperGreen Solutions has to offer.
“The SuperGreen Solutions platform is ideal for acting as an energy consultant and identifying needs and opportunities for savings,” Craft said. “I want to build this with, and for my family. I want to do good things that make the earth a better place to live and save people money at the same time.”
Unlike big-box home improvement stores that offer a limited selection of green energy products to consumers, SuperGreen gives consumers a single destination from which to shop green products for all aspects of residential or commercial use, as well as in-home consultations to help inform their purchases.
The company offers a comprehensive approach, which includes rebate advice, tax credit guidance, sales, installation and after-sales service. Products range from LED lighting and solar power solutions to ventilation and insulation products for homes and businesses. Customers include home and business owners looking to lower their energy and maintenance costs through the use of a single product or by completely greening their home from floor to ceiling with multiple solutions. Commercial clients typically include auto dealerships, hair salons, gas stations, restaurants and bars, grocery stores, office buildings and more, as well as builders and contractors.
